Khaleefa Explores Syrian Refugees' Linguistic Realities in Zaatari Camp

Recently released by Sorbonne Nouvelle University Press, the first academic book by Dr. Amal Khaleefa, a lecturer in the Department of French Language and Literature at the University of Jordan (UJ), titled: "Les Langues au cœur de l'exil. Les Syriens du Camp de Zaatari"

The book explores the linguistic perceptions and practices of Syrian refugees living in the  Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan. It aims at comprehending the socio-linguistic reality experienced within the camp, providing educational schemes that align with the linguistic needs of refugees.

The book is set to be launched in a special seminar in Paris on March 4, 2024. The event will be attended by a group of colleagues and academic critics.
