"Obeidat" Patronizes UJ Aqaba Graduation Ceremony

​​The University of Jordan (UJ) in Aqaba, on Wednesday, held at the Aqaba Development Cooperation Stadium the graduation ceremony of its 11th cohort of students.

The ceremony, patronised by UJ President Prof. Nathir Obeidat, on behalf of Her Royal Highness Princess Mona Al-Hussein, began with the graduation of the first cohort of graduates of the School of Nursing, followed by the Schools of languages, business, tourism, hospitality, information systems and technology, and basic and marine sciences.

During the ceremony, which took place in the presence of UJ Aqaba President, Prof. Ghaleb Abbasi, and the deans of schools at both branches, Obeidat handed the graduation certificates to 450 undergraduate and 22 postgraduate students who completed their degree requirements.

The graduates were distributed according to majors as follows: 185 students who completed their bachelor’s degree in 4 majors affiliated to the School of Languages, 140 students who completed their bachelor’s degree in 3 majors affiliated to the School of Business, 38 students who completed the bachelor’s degree requirements in two majors affiliated to the School of Tourism and Hospitality, and 19 students completed bachelor's degree requirements in two majors affiliated to the School of Information Technology Systems, 18 students completed bachelor's requirements in basic and marine sciences, and 42 students who completed bachelor's degree requirements in nursing.
