​The University of Jordan's branch in Aqaba (UJ Aqaba) President Prof. Nazeeh Al-Batoush, in his capacity as the Vice President of the University of Jordan, received in his office the Canadian Ambassador to Jordan, Tariq Khan.

Al-Batoush said the visit is an important opportunity to discuss prospects of future cooperation and partnership between the university and the Canadian universities.

Presenting an overview of UJ Aqaba, Al-Batoush indicated that the goal of establishing the branch was to provide distinguished higher education in the Aqaba region.

For his part, Khan explained aspects of the educational grant provided by the Canadian government to Jordan, pointing out the Canadian government’s efforts to encourage higher education and develop the educational process, due to its impact on the Canadian economy.
