The University of Jordan (UJ) hosted the first qualifying round of the Zain Esports Universities Championship, organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs in partnership with the Jordanian Esports Federation.
The competition featured EA SPORTS FC 26, the latest title in the global football esports franchise, played exclusively on the PlayStation 5, the tournament’s official platform. Eight Jordanian universities are competing in this year’s national tour, which will conclude with the Grand Finals at THE ARC Arena in King Hussein Business Park.
Matches at UJ highlighted the growing momentum of campus esports, as students demonstrated strong technical performance and familiarity with the dynamics of modern competitive gaming.
The championship is held under the supervision of the Jordanian Esports Federation, chaired by HRH Prince Omar bin Faisal bin Al Hussein, reflecting national efforts to advance digital sports and expand university-level participation.
UJ continues to support emerging student activities and promote digital skills across its campus community.
