A specialized training course, organized by the University of Jordan's (UJ) Hamdi Mango Center for Scientific Research in collaboration with the American Chemical Society – Jordan Chapter, recently concluded.
The week-long program, covering 15 training hours, targeted advanced-year students from Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Physics, and Pharmacy departments. Twelve students from various Jordanian universities, including UJ, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, and the Hashemite University, participated.
Dr. Rund Abu-Zurayk delivered the course, focusing on providing theoretical knowledge and practical skills in nanomaterial and polymer nanocomposite preparation, alongside their advanced applications in water treatment. Her lectures aimed to familiarize students with the latest research applications and scientific techniques in this critical field.
The course underscores UJ's commitment to enhancing academic and research collaboration and providing an advanced training environment. This initiative aligns with the university's mission to foster innovation and scientific research development.
