University of Jordan and Beirut Arab University Forge Collaborative Partnership

​In a meeting held on Monday, the University of Jordan (UJ) President Prof. Nathir Obeidat, explored avenues of collaboration with the President of Beirut Arab University (BAU), Prof. Wael Abdul Salam, and its Secretary-General, Prof. Omar Houri. The delegation was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration, the Honorary President of BAU Alumni Club in Jordan, Tawfiq Krishan.

During the meeting, Obeidat and Abdul Salam formalized their commitment by signing a memorandum of understanding and collaboration. This agreement seeks to establish direct relations with the goal of fostering academic cooperation across various disciplines. The signing ceremony was attended by UJ vice presidents, the Director of the International Affairs Unit, and the Director of the Media and Public Relations Unit.

The memorandum outlines plans to enhance cooperative activities in academic fields of mutual interest between the two universities. This encompasses the exchange of faculty members and researchers for teaching, lecturing, and scientific research, as well as student exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and the organization of collaborative workshops, seminars, and conferences. Additionally, the collaboration will facilitate the exchange of publications, books, journals, and the dissemination of scientific research results.
