UJ, Chinese Embassy Conclude Agreement to Renovate Chinese Language Lab

​The University of Jordan (UJ) and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom today concluded an agreement to renovate the Chinese language laboratory at the School of Foreign Languages.

The agreement, which was signed on behalf of the university by its president, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, and on behalf of the embassy, by the Chinese ambassador, Chen Chuandong, embodies the desire of the two sides to enhance efforts to teach Chinese language teaching at the university.

During the signing ceremony, Obeidat commended the strong relationship between the university and the Chinese embassy, expressing his gratitude for the continuous support it provides to the Chinese language program, and welcoming further cooperation, especially in the field of students training in general, and students of engineering and information technology programs in particular.

For his part, Chuandong uttered pride in the Chinese language program taught at the university, expressing keenness to more cooperation with the University, especially afterward the Arab-Chinese summit, referring to many Chinese higher education institutions that have expressed interest in cooperating with universities in Jordan, especially with UJ.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Director of the International Affairs Unit, Dr. Sameh Al-Zuabidi.
