​The University of Jordan (UJ) Media, Public Relations and Radio Unit received a delegation from the Arab American University in Palestine and discussed with its Director, Dr. Mohammad Wasef, aspects of cooperation in the media and Broadcasting fields.

During the meeting, Wasef briefed the delegation on UJ Radio’s experience in covering academic and higher education affairs, particularly in light of the intense competition between local community radio stations.

Wasef said that despite the great challenges, financial ones in particular, UJ Radio was able to make a qualitative shift in contemporary broadcasting and among its counterparts locally and internationally, pointing out that it is a community radio station emanating from an academic institution and covering community's issues.

For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Khalouf, head of the delegation, expressed admiration for the advanced level of UJ's media at all levels, pointing out that it constitutes a unique case and a truly reliable model.

Following the meeting, the delegation handed Wasef the shield of the Arab American University in appreciation of the joint cooperation and the advanced level reached by UJ Radio.

It is noteworthy that the delegation visited the radio premises and learned about its operations and staff.
