UJ President, Pearson Delegation Discuss Academic Collaboration

The University of Jordan (UJ) President Prof. Nathir Obeidat on Wednesday held discussions with a delegation from Pearson, a global education company renowned for its expertise in learning, training, qualifications, skills assessment and educational testing.

During the meeting, led by the Vice President Jane Baker, Obeidat expressed the university's keenness to discuss potential collaborations.

He highlighted UJ’s ongoing commitment to prepare students for the job market by refining programmes and educational outcomes.

With a 175-year history, Pearson, headquartered in London and operating in 65 countries, provides world-class education, professional development, consulting and knowledge assessment services, Baker said.

She also said that Pearson has recently partnered with the Jordanian Ministry of Education to integrate the British Vocational Education and Training (BTEC) programme into the curriculum of public schools' vocational track.
