Discussing Research Collaboration with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia

The University of Jordan (UJ) Vice President for International Accreditation, Global Rankings, and Sustainability, Prof. Faleh Sawair, received today in his office Deputy Director of Student Affairs at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Dr. Nurwina Akmal Anuar, who is also a member of the Human Motivation and Autonomy research group.

The meeting explored ways to expand research collaboration between UJ and UKM, as both parties discussed the possibility of signing an MoU to strengthen cooperation in scientific research and joint research projects.

During the meeting, Sawair emphasized the importance of proper management and continuous follow-up of research groups, highlighting their role in enhancing scientific output. He stressed that each research group should have a clear work plan, regular meetings, well-structured future plans, and defined responsibilities for all members to ensure a sustainable impact that benefits the community.

For her part, Anuar presented an overview of her university, which enrolls around 40,000 students, and outlined its experience in scientific research and research group development. She also expressed her university’s interest in signing an MoU with UJ to enhance collaboration in common research fields.

During her visit, Anuar will deliver a lecture to postgraduate students in Sport Psychology at the School of Sport Sciences, and will also participate in conducting a joint research project at the school.
