The University of Jordan (UJ) on Tuesday launched two digital platforms for 2026, “Innovative Ideas and Suggestions” and “Appreciation and Recognition.” The launch took place at an event organized by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center (AQAC) under the patronage of Vice President for Quality and Local Accreditation Prof. Amira Masri.

Directors of centers, units and administrative departments attended, alongside members of the academic and administrative staff.

Masri said the initiative reflects UJ’s commitment to broadening participation in institutional development and turning ideas into practical improvements that enhance performance, competitiveness and sustainability.

She explained that the “Appreciation and Recognition” platform aims to promote excellence in service delivery and improve the experience of students and service recipients. The platform enables students, alumni, faculty members, administrative staff, partners, institutions and members of the local community to submit messages of appreciation for individuals and entities delivering high-quality services at the university and beyond it.

Masri added that the “Innovative Ideas and Suggestions” platform provides a structured channel for receiving proposals from both inside and outside the university. It is open to faculty and administrative staff, students, alumni, partners, as well as interested individuals and institutions.

Submissions may include proposals to enhance existing services, launch new initiatives, develop innovative or market-oriented start-up projects, and support institutional development and continuous improvement.

Technical Staff Member at the Information Technology Center Arwa Al-Sane delivered a demonstration on how to use the platforms and submit entries, noting that proposals should align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The event also featured a discussion session with Director of the Information Technology Center Dr. Loai Alnemer, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Dr. Reem Al-Fayez, and Deputy Director of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center Dima Mahmoud.

Speakers said submissions received through the “Innovative Ideas and Suggestions” platform will be reviewed by a specialized committee in accordance with published criteria. Feasible proposals will be supported to help transform them into initiatives and projects with measurable impact.
