The President of the University of Jordan (UJ) in Aqaba, Prof. Saleh Rawadieh, met with newly admitted students from various schools who joined the university at the beginning of the First Semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, congratulating them on their acceptance and welcoming them as members of the UJ community.
Rawadieh expressed his pleasure in welcoming a new cohort of students to the Aqaba campus, which he described as their “second home.” He urged them to embark on this new academic journey with determination, perseverance, and a strong sense of purpose, noting that university life represents a significant and distinct stage from their previous educational experiences.
Rawadieh affirmed that the university places its students at the core of its mission and priorities. He emphasized UJ’s commitment to equipping students with diverse cognitive, practical, and linguistic skills that enable them to interact confidently and effectively with the requirements of the modern era.
During his speech, he offered the students advice and guidance to serve as a road-map throughout their academic journey, encouraging them to translate these principles into practice to achieve personal growth and a promising future.
The campus president called upon students to assume responsibility, adhere to university regulations and instructions, and practice self-discipline. He also encouraged them to engage actively in extracurricular activities that refine their personalities, enhance their knowledge and life skills, and strengthen their connection with the local community.
Rawadieh underscored the importance of students familiarizing themselves with the university’s regulations and bylaws, available on UJ’s official website. He noted that the university administration, through its various departments, centers, and offices, particularly the Department of Student Services and Activities, the Admissions and Registration Division, and the Student Union, is keen to provide all forms of support and to help students overcome any challenges they may encounter.
The meeting also featured the announcement of several initiatives aimed at contributing to the development and advancement of the Aqaba campus and at fostering a university environment that inspires creativity and achievement. Rawadieh concluded the meeting by responding to students’ questions and inquiries, which reflected their high level of engagement and enthusiasm.
