The University of Jordan (UJ) on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Royal Jordanian Geographical Center to expand cooperation in geospatial and surveying fields, covering research, training and capacity building.
The agreement provides for exchanging technical and scientific expertise, developing joint research projects, and enhancing support for students’ practical training and professional preparation.
It also covers cooperation in organising conferences, workshops and other scientific events serving both academic and applied sectors.
Both parties said the partnership will strengthen national efforts in geospatial information, mapping and related applications, while helping bridge university research with practical and institutional needs.
They added that the MoU aims to help build specialised national competencies in geographic and geospatial disciplines, in line with sustainable development priorities and Jordan’s modernisation agenda.
