The University of Jordan (UJ) marked Loyalty and Allegiance Day on its 27th anniversary, reaffirming its support for Jordan’s modernisation agenda under His Majesty King Abdullah II.

UJ President Prof. Nathir Obeidat extended congratulations to His Majesty, describing the occasion as a national milestone reflecting unity and continuity.

The University also paid tribute to the late King Hussein bin Talal, recalling his legacy in laying the foundations of the modern Jordanian state. The anniversary coincides with the date of King Hussein’s passing in 1999 and the day King Abdullah II assumed his constitutional powers.

Obeidat said the University will continue to strengthen higher education and scientific research in line with national development priorities and the broader modernisation agenda.

The event concluded with prayers for His Majesty’s continued good health and for Jordan’s enduring security, stability and prosperity.
