The University of Jordan (UJ), through its Development Community & Service Center, participated for the second consecutive year in organizing the Children’s Race and the Bromine Amman Marathon 2025 in cooperation with the Jordanian Marathon Association (Run Jordan). The event saw wide participation from various age groups and community institutions.

The participation reflects UJ’s commitment to national initiatives that promote public health, encourage active lifestyles, and foster teamwork, in line with its efforts to strengthen community partnership and social responsibility.

A large number of UJ student volunteers contributed to coordination, reception, and logistics, ensuring the success of the event.

Director of the Development Community & Service Center Dr. Mohammad Mustafa said the University’s participation reaffirms its leading role in promoting health, education, and volunteerism, noting that sports are vital to sustainable development and building an active, healthy society.

This initiative supports the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by encouraging community-based sporting activities that foster cooperation and solidarity.
