The School of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan (UJ) took part in the International Conference on Bridging Horizons, titled A Multidisciplinary Approach, hosted by the Arab Open University in Jordan in cooperation with Abu Dhabi University. The conference explored how universities can better connect higher education with industry needs and prepare graduates for an increasingly dynamic global labour market.
During the conference, Dean of the School, Prof. Muhammad AlZyoud, presented a paper emphasizing the importance of strengthening the link between education and industry and equipping students with future-oriented skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and adaptability. He also highlighted innovative educational models that blend analytical reasoning with design thinking to support deeper understanding and effective problem-solving.
The School underscored the growing need for Arab universities to adopt flexible educational policies, reinforce partnerships with the private sector, and continually update academic programmes to keep pace with rapid digital and economic transformation. The University’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to advancing educational innovation and strengthening its role within the region’s academic landscape.
