Third Day of Ceremonies Graduates Students from Schools of Foreign Languages and Arts and Design

The third day of the graduation ceremonies at the University of Jordan (UJ) celebrated the graduates of the School of Foreign Languages and the School of Arts and Design. The students marched across the stadium to receive their graduation certificates in the presence of their cheerful families and friends. For the graduating students, their feelings were a mix of joy and sadness as they bid farewell to their university.

This year, UJ added a special touch to the fifty-ninth graduation ceremony by naming this year's cohort the "Silver Jubilee Cohort," coinciding with the nation's celebrations of the silver jubilee of His Majesty King Abdullah II's ascension to his constitutional powers.

Additionally, the university celebrates being the first in Jordan to achieve excellence in global rankings, having reached the 368th position in the QS World University Rankings.

Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Prof. Adnan Al-Samadi, awarded graduation certificates to 824 students who completed the requirements for a bachelor's degree, while the Dean of the School of Arts and Design, Prof. Ali Abu Ghanimeh, awarded certificates to 171 students.

Additionally, the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, Prof. Suhail Haddadin, awarded certificates to 10 students who completed the requirements for a master's degree in music arts, one diploma student, and 14 students who completed the requirements for graduate degrees in the School of Foreign Languages.

In his address, Al-Samadi stated that the School offers academic programs in eleven foreign languages, noting that it is the first among all Arab universities to teach this number of foreign languages and the second globally, following only Bishou University in China, which teaches twenty-three foreign languages. He praised the students' commitment during their studies and congratulated them on their graduation.

In his speech to the students, Abu Ghanimeh announced the introduction of four new academic programs, including two bachelor's degrees and two master's degrees, starting from the next academic year 2024/2025. He also mentioned the school's efforts to introduce new programs in jewelry and fashion design and digital arts. Prof. Abu Ghneima thanked the faculty members and university administration for their unlimited support to the school. He congratulated the graduating students and their families, expressing his wishes for them to achieve their aspirations and to be the best ambassadors for their school.

It is noteworthy that the graduation ceremonies are broadcast live on the official website of the University of Jordan (www.ju.edu.jo), while graduates' photos are posted immediately on the University's official social media pages.
