Jordan University Hospital (JUH) on Tuesday received eight children from the Gaza Strip suffering from liver and heart conditions, as part of Jordan’s ongoing medical support to Gaza, in efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II to help ease the suffering of civilians in the Strip.

A day earlier, the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army evacuated the 21st group of patients from the Strip under the Jordan Medical Corridor, transferring 21 patients and 36 companions to several hospitals across the Kingdom for follow-up care.

At JUH, specialised medical teams began examinations and individual assessments to determine the required tests and treatment plans, including any procedures deemed necessary.

The hospital said care is being overseen by Dr. Farid Khudair, a consultant in paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, and Dr. Iyad A. Al-Ammouri, with support from Children Not Numbers.

JUH Director General Prof. Nader Albsoul said the hospital has mobilised its teams and resources to ensure comprehensive care. He added that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, continues to receive and treat children and injured patients arriving from Gaza, noting that JUH will maintain close follow-up to support their recovery.
