
The University of Jordan (UJ) President Prof. Nathir Obeidat toured the University’s computer-based examination centres to follow the progress of first-semester final examinations and review the readiness of exam halls, technical systems, and administrative procedures, in support of a smooth and orderly examination process.
During the tour, he checked on-site logistical and technical arrangements and stressed the importance of close coordination among academic, administrative, and IT teams to maintain efficiency and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Obeidat also met with students, listened to their feedback on exam formats and available support services, and urged them to stay focused and follow instructions throughout the examination period.
He reaffirmed UJ’s commitment to placing students at the centre of its priorities and addressing any challenges that may arise, noting the University’s continued efforts to strengthen its academic and administrative systems in line with its educational mission and public service role.
As part of the tour, Obeidat reviewed the emergency preparedness plan at the Support Services Department to respond to any weather-related developments during the examination period. He received a briefing on readiness measures and coordination mechanisms with relevant entities to ensure service continuity and safeguard the university community.
The tour was attended by the University’s vice presidents, along with Director of the Media, Public Relations, and Radio Unit Dr. Rakan Abu Orabi, Director of the Information Technology Center Dr. Loai Alnemer, and Director of the Support Services Department Abdullah Al-Zubaidi.
