University of Jordan President Inaugurates Advanced Laboratories at the School of Dentistry

The University of Jordan (UJ) President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, inaugurated today several development projects at the School of Dentistry, including advanced laboratories and a modern postgraduate lecture hall, as part of UJ’s ongoing efforts to modernize its infrastructure and enhance the quality of education and scientific research.

During the inauguration ceremony, followed by a tour of the School’s upgraded facilities, Obeidat affirmed that UJ continues to advance toward providing a smart and stimulating learning environment aligned with the highest international standards. He noted that upgrading the School’s laboratories responds to rapid developments in medical sciences and aims to equip students with the clinical and technical skills required to excel in both local and international labor markets.

In the presence of the University’s vice presidents, deans of medical schools, the hospital director, faculty members, and partners from the medical sector, Obeidat inaugurated the Clinical Simulation Lab, a high-tech training facility that enables students to develop clinical competencies and fine motor skills through advanced mannequins and virtual simulation technologies.

He also inaugurated the Endodontics Laboratory, equipped with state-of-the-art devices and technologies to enhance practical training for postgraduate students, including a face-scan device supported by 3D imaging technology and advanced software. In addition, a dedicated postgraduate hall was opened to provide an integrated learning environment.

Dean of the School, Prof. Zaid Al-Bitar, stated that these laboratories represent a significant advancement in the School’s academic development, emphasizing its commitment to expanding smart digital education across its laboratories and teaching facilities. He expressed appreciation to the University administration and the School’s partners for their continued support.

During his tour, Obeidat reviewed several structural and aesthetic upgrades implemented across the School building, including hygienic and service facilities, commending the School’s efforts in keeping pace with the University’s modernization plan aimed at developing its faculties and achieving an integrated and sustainable university environment.
