The University of Jordan(UJ), in cooperation with the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC), held a lecture for students enrolled in the Master’s Program in Governance and Anti-Corruption at the School of Law, exploring how artificial intelligence can strengthen integrity systems and support anti-corruption efforts.

The Dean of the School of Law, Prof. Basem Melhem, thanked the Commission for its continued cooperation with the University, describing the partnership as a model for effective collaboration between academic institutions and national bodies. He added that the master’s program, launched jointly by JIACC and the University, has delivered strong academic and practical outcomes, and is continuously updated to equip graduates with the skills needed to advance integrity and accountability.

Held at JIACC headquarters, the session opened with remarks by the Chairman of JIACC, Dr. Muhannad Hijazi, who stressed the value of integrating the course “Digitalization and Anti-Corruption” into the program. He noted that the course helps students translate theory into practice by introducing international approaches and emerging digital tools, in line with the rapid pace of digital transformation.

The Director of the Commission’s Digital Support Directorate, Yanal Al-Majali, then outlined key AI concepts and their relevance to integrity frameworks. He highlighted the role of digital transformation and the Commission’s digital platforms in embedding national integrity standards, and shared an overview of planned AI initiatives.

The lecture was attended by the Director of JIACC’s Media, Communication and Public Relations Unit, Suhair Al-Deek, as well as instructors of the “Digitalization and Anti-Corruption” course: Dr. Asim Al-Jadoo, Dr. Muhannad Abu Murad, Dr. Kamal Al-Assaf, and Dr. Asmaa Al-Ajarmeh.

Launched in 2022, the Master’s Program in Governance and Anti-Corruption aims to strengthen students’ academic and practical competencies, while aligning their training with national integrity standards and good governance principles.
