​ University of Jordan, University of Benghazi Sign MoU to enhance Academic and Research Cooperation

The University of Jordan (UJ) and the University of Benghazi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic and research cooperation, support higher education development, advance scientific research, and expand community service collaboration in both countries.

UJ President Prof. Nathir Obeidat signed the MoU on behalf of the University, accompanied by Vice President for Scientific Faculties Prof.Ashraf Abu Karaky. The agreement was signed for the University of Benghazi by President 
Prof. Ezzeddine Al-Derssi.

The signing ceremony was attended by Director of Postgraduate Studies and Training Dr. Sleiman Rabeh; Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Affairs Prof.Yahya Lamloum; Acting Vice President for Scientific Affairs  
Prof. Jamal Al-Areibi; Director of the International Cooperation Office Dr. Ahmed Saad; Dean of the Faculty of Medicine 
Prof. Fathi Al-Barki; and Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Dr.Rowaida Al-Senaini.

The MoU covers faculty, researcher, and student exchange, joint scientific research, and the organisation of conferences, seminars, and workshops. It also includes cooperation on developing academic and postgraduate programmes, joint scientific publishing, and the exchange of expertise in quality assurance and academic accreditation, in line with the regulations in force at both institutions.

The agreement is intended to establish a practical framework for sustained institutional cooperation, expand opportunities for long-term joint initiatives, and support shared scientific, educational, and development priorities between the two universities.
