The International Programs, Alumni, and Marketing Unit at the University of Jordan (UJ) on Sunday organized the "UJ 2024 Job Expo", drawing participation from over 100 local, regional, and international establishments across various sectors.
From business and technology to consulting and healthcare, the expo featured a comprehensive range of industries, including banking, gaming, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence solutions.
UJ President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, inaugurated the event and toured the exhibition, accompanied by his deputies, as well as several heads of units and departments at the University.
In this regard, Dr. Zaid Obeidat, Director of the International Programs, Alumni, and Marketing Unit, pointed out that expo's goal is to contribute to efforts intended at bridging the gap between academia and market needs.
"The university is committed to providing students with the tools they need to excel in their careers," said Obeidat, highlighting the training and internship opportunities available for students and graduates.
This event is expected to raise awareness of the current job market requirements and contribute to the Jordan's efforts to reduce unemployment.
