UJ Explores Collaboration Prospects with University of Glasgow

​The University of Jordan (UJ) President Prof. Nathir Obeidat, on Thursday, discussed with the Global Dean for Engagement Middle East and North Africa at the College of Medicine, at the University of Glasgow, Prof. Tom Evans, potential cooperation prospects.

The discussion covered the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding to initiate collaborative efforts in various academic fields, particularly in the medical fields.

Addressed potential collaboration paths include student exchange programs, joint research projects, seminars, and lectures, as well as the training of medical students and sending students for postgraduate studies.

During the meeting, Obeidat said it is strategic for UJ to establish international academic collaborations aimed at achieving mutual academic development and enhancing the academic and research quality of the University.

From his part, Evans expressed his university's desire to establish a joint academic collaboration with UJ in various academic fields, with medical fields being the starting point, thanking the University for the meeting and the warm reception.

The meeting was attended UJ's Vice Presidents, Director of the International Affairs Unit, and Deputy Dean of the School of Medicine.
