The School of Nursing at the University of Jordan (UJ) on Saturday organized a health awareness day in Mafraq Governorate.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Global Center on Climate Change, Water, Energy, Food, and Health Systems, the Chronic Disease Association, the Arab Palliative Care Academy, and the Hashemite University, witnessed remarkable success and significant attendance from various sectors of the local community and its institutions.
Held in the Khaldiya area of Mafraq Governorate under the supervision of the Vice Dean of the School of Nursing, Prof. Latifa Dardas, with the participation of Dr. Waddah Al-Dammah, instructor Jumana Shihadeh, and a group of outstanding students from the school, the event provided several free health services.
Services provided included vital signs tests, specialized vision examinations, chronic disease screenings, first aid and CPR training for adults and children, early cancer detection tests, safe motherhood education, nutrition assessments, child care guidance, mental health skills training, as well as specialized bone and skin assessments.
