HTU President, Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, presented an honorary shield to UJ President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, and another to Dean of the School of Engineering, Prof. Menwer Attarakih. The ceremony was attended by UJ Vice President for Scientific Schools, Prof. Ashraf Abu Karaky, the supervising academic team from the School of Engineering, and representatives from HTU overseeing the platform.

Obeidat expressed appreciation for the honour and pride in the students’ achievement, noting that the distinction reflects UJ’s ongoing efforts to equip its students with the skills and practical experience needed to meet the changing demands of the labour market. He commended the students for their dedication and perseverance throughout the six-month learning journey.

Obeidat also praised HTU for its academic and training excellence, as well as its leading role among technical universities, attributing this success to the support of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II and to the vision of the university’s leadership and academic team. He further commended HTU’s initiative in developing Htux.org, the first Arabic digital learning platform of its kind, designed to empower final-year students and graduates in Jordan through accelerated learning tracks that promote career advancement.

Al-Hinti commended UJ’s engineering students for their seriousness, commitment, and pursuit of excellence, describing them as a model for others. He also praised the academic supervisors for their efforts in guiding and supporting students toward this achievement.

For his part, Attarakih said the success reflects the School of Engineering’s commitment to developing students’ academic and professional skills beyond classroom knowledge, stressing that the recognition stands as a testament to their hard work and creativity.

The ceremony concluded with a tribute to UJ’s School of Engineering and the supervising academic team, in an atmosphere that reflected the strong partnership between the two universities and their shared commitment to preparing graduates capable of innovation and excellence in the labour market.
