Jordan University Hospital (JUH) on Sunday launched specialised nursing teams under a revised organisational structure for its Nursing Department, as part of efforts to strengthen governance and enhance the quality of nursing services.

The launch ceremony was held under the patronage of Consultant for HRH Princess Muna El Hussein for Health and Social Development Prof. Rowaida Al Maaitah.

JUH General Director Prof. Nader Albsoul said the new structure aims to improve patient care and ensure more efficient service delivery by clarifying responsibilities and introducing measurable performance indicators.

Al Maaitah underscored the importance of integrating artificial intelligence into nursing practice to support clinical decision-making and improve documentation, stressing the need for regular evaluation to ensure tangible, measurable outcomes.

Director of Nursing at JUH Suleiman Al Rababah said the initiative aligns with the hospital’s development plans to empower nursing staff and strengthen their leadership role.

The event was attended by Dean of the University of Jordan’s School of Nursing Prof. Areej Othman and Secretary General of the Jordanian Nursing Council Prof. Hani Al Nawafleh, along with senior hospital officials.
