The University of Jordan (UJ) participated in the 26th Arab Students’ Innovation and Creativity Forum, hosted by the University of Nizwa in the Sultanate of Oman under the theme “Opportunities and Challenges Facing Educational Institutions amid Technological Developments.” The forum, organized by the Arab Council for Training Students of Arab Universities (ACTSAU) headquartered at UJ in Amman, brought together students and academics from across the Arab region to exchange ideas and showcase innovative research and creative works.
Director of the Language Center Prof. Ismail Al-Mazaidah represented UJ and chaired the jury for the Artistic and Literary Creativity track, evaluating submissions in poetry, short fiction, and the arts.
UJ student Rahma AlHroub won third place in the Scientific Research – Humanities category for her study titled “The Predictive Power of Students’ Reliance on an Intelligent Psychological Robot in Assessing Self-Esteem and Digital Identity among Jordanian University Students.” The research, supervised by Ms. Ghada Qaqish, was recognized for its rigorous use of artificial intelligence to explore psychological and educational dimensions.
Al-Mazaidah emphasized that this achievement reflects UJ’s ongoing commitment to fostering student innovation and enhancing regional academic cooperation.
The forum concluded with an awards ceremony honoring the winning students, jury chairs, and participating institutions.
ACTSAU, a specialized council under the Association of Arab Universities (AARU), is permanently hosted by UJ. The Council’s Board of Directors is chaired by of UJ president Prof. Nathir Obeidat.
