The University of Jordan (UJ) School of Sport Sciences hosted Taekwondo expert Cheol-Gwon Lee during the practical assessment of the Taekwondo course, held under the supervision of Dr. Adam Amawi from the Department of Movement Sciences and Sports Training.
The visit reflects the School’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the practical component of skill-based courses by connecting students with specialised international expertise and ensuring that training and assessment remain aligned with internationally recognised standards.
Lee is among the masters selected under Kukkiwon’s Overseas Taekwondo Master Program. Kukkiwon, officially known as the World Taekwondo Headquarters, implements the program to promote Taekwondo in accordance with its official standards and to share its philosophy and values worldwide.
During the assessment, Lee observed and evaluated students’ performance, providing technical feedback and focused coaching on technique, execution, and practical application. The session helped refine students’ skills and offered direct insight into professional evaluation practices used at the international level.
