​The Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Jordan (UJ), in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth, organized a panel discussion entitled "Political and Leadership Empowerment of Women in Jordan".

The panel, attended by Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Ismail Alzyoud, featured Senator Maysoon Al-Atoum, MP Dr. Rima Al-Amoush, member of the Amman Governorate Council, Eng. Nour Al-Lawzi, and Assistant Secretary-General for Technical and Strategic Affairs at the Ministry of Youth, Dr. Yassin Al-Halil.

The panel, held on the occasion of International Women's day, tackled the importance of enhancing women's participation in political, economic and social lives, and the role of official institutions in enhancing opportunities for women's participation in many fields.

The event also addressed the concept of women empowerment, indicating that women empowerment issue in Jordan is one of the most important and challenging issues that continue to be under discussion.
