University of Jordan, King Abdullah II Centre for Excellence Sign Agreement to Enhance Institutional Capacity

By Zayed Alzyoud

The University of Jordan (UJ) and the King Abdullah II Centre for Excellence (KACE) signed a cooperation agreement today to launch an institutional capacity-building programme designed to promote excellence and strengthen performance in line with international best practices.

The agreement was signed by UJ President Prof. Nathir Obeidat and KACE Executive Director Eng. Wedad Qutishat, attended by officials from both sides.

Under the agreement, the programme includes awareness and alignment workshops on excellence standards and requirements, linking the university’s strategies, policies, plans and approved procedures with institutional excellence requirements. It also includes an institutional maturity assessment of the university.

Obeidat said the agreement reflects UJ’s ongoing commitment to improving performance and embedding continuous improvement, supporting the university’s academic standing locally and internationally.

Qutishat said the agreement supports the centre’s role as a national reference for excellence and innovation, and its work with educational institutions to develop administrative and academic systems, enhance competitiveness and advance strategic objectives.
