University of Jordan Launches Comprehensive Library Upgrades in Line with Global Standards

As part of its strategic vision to enhance the university environment and modernise its infrastructure, the University of Jordan (UJ) has begun implementing a comprehensive series of maintenance and development works at the University Library, a central hub of knowledge and culture on campus.

The project includes extensive maintenance and upgrades to the Library’s main entrance and several reference halls, aiming to integrate the building’s architectural heritage with modern functional requirements that meet the needs of students and library users.

The development works also involve upgrading the Library’s technical and network infrastructure to ensure the efficient delivery of digital information and services in accordance with international standards adopted by leading academic institutions.

In addition, the project extends to the surrounding gardens and outdoor spaces through the Zoning Project, which aims to reorganise green areas and external areas and transform them into interactive academic spaces that provide students with an attractive and stimulating university environment conducive to creativity and innovation.

The University administration affirmed that these improvements are part of a comprehensive, carefully planned, and time-bound development strategy aimed at enhancing the operational and visual efficiency of all university facilities.

The project reflects the University’s commitment to institutional development and to improving the quality of services provided to the university community, ensuring that the University of Jordan remains among the leading national institutions that combine historical legacy with modern infrastructure.
