UJ, BAU to Cooperate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship Programs

​The University of Jordan (UJ) and Al-Balqa' Applied University on Sunday signed a joint memorandum of understanding and cooperation to exchange knowledge and expertise.

The MoU, signed on behalf of UJ by its president Prof.  Nathir Obaidat and Al-Balqa' Applied University president Prof. Ahmed Al-Ajlouni, outlines the framework to collaborate on innovative and creative projects and activities, as well as technology transfer and networking, based on the principles of mutual equality and reciprocity.

After signing the memorandum, Obaidat stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two parties in academic and scientific research fields, and the university's keenness to strengthen and build cooperative relations with various universities.

Al-Ajlouni, in turn, emphasized the importance of activating mutual cooperation between Al-Balqa Applied University and Jordan University, and exchanging experiences and joint research projects that serve the interests of both parties.

The signing took place in presence of the Vice President for Quality and Accreditation Affairs, Prof. Enaam Khalaf, Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Yazan Al-Zain, and Director of the Media, Public Relations, and Radio Unit, Dr. Mohammed Wasef.

From Al-Balqa Applied University, Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Saeed Abu Ramman; Director of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Center Prof. Aws Al-Qaisi; and Director of Cooperation and International Relations Unit, Dr. Dana Mahadin, attended the ceremony.

The memorandum highlights the participation of both universities in available opportunities, such as competitions, incubation, or training for targeted segments, connecting young people to national and international competitions and events, contributing to marketing and promoting activities, preparing periodic studies and strategic plans to develop and improve mechanisms for cooperation between universities, and collaborating to enhance research, innovation, and technology transfer.
