UJ Ranks 372 Globally in QS Sustainability University Rankings 2024

​The University of Jordan (UJ) has made a significant progress in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2024, which examines the extent to which universities all over the world achieve sustainable development goals.

UJ climbed up to the 372nd position globally, being ranked (401-450) in last year's rankings, in addition to maintaining the first position locally, and ranking 8th in the Arab world.

This ranking includes three main areas; environmental impact, social impact and governance, while each area includes specific performance indicators, determining their environmental and social impact.

In the environmental impact criterion, UJ ranked 305. This standard is based on three indicators, the most prominent of which is sustainable institutions, in which the university UJ ranked 96, and the sustainable education indicator, in which the university ranked 291 globally.

As for the field of social impact, which itself consists of five indicators, the university's most prominent results came in the knowledge exchange indicator, in which it ranked 254 globally. As for the third and final area, related to governance,  UJ ranked  235 globally.
