A student team from the School of Business at the University of Jordan (UJ) participated in the "Universities Challenge 2024" to promote innovation in government communication, launched by the United Arab Emirates University as part of the preliminary activities of the International Government Communication Forum 2024.
The challenge aims to stimulate innovation and creativity in the field of government communication, with the participation of 24 teams from 18 local and international universities. UJ student teams competed in the competition by presenting innovative and applicable solutions to various challenges related to content creation.
Coordinated by UJ's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and under the supervision of the Head of Business Incubators and Financing Division at the center, Jihad Bahloul, students Mais Issam Al-Hadid (Business Administration), Areej Maher Mubaidin (Business Administration), and Osama Murad Awadallah (Master’s in Accounting) participated with their project "Injaz." The project is an application that allows users to simulate the completion of government transactions using content that integrates virtual characters with video, showcasing government services, and where they can be completed.
The application displays to the user the required documents and the steps to complete the transaction within the center. It also allows users to know the expected completion time and crowd status, as well as book a waiting ticket, saving time, effort, and cost, with a user experience that supports multiple languages.
It is worth noting that the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center continually strives to support entrepreneurs, innovators, and entrepreneurial project owners from the university community in accessing various opportunities, including incubation, investment, or funding across all sectors and fields, as well as enabling them to participate in national and international competitions, exhibitions, and related events.
