The University of Jordan (UJ) and the Jordan Securities Commission signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at developing cooperation and enhancing the partnership between the two parties.
The MoU was signed by UJ President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, and the Chairman of the Securities Commission, Prof. Adel Bino, in the presence of the Dean of the School of Business, Prof. Samer Dahiyat, and a delegation from the Commission.
The MoU stipulates enhancing mutual cooperation in areas such as training, delivering lectures, conducting joint scientific research, exchanging expertise, executing joint research projects, organizing joint seminars, conferences, and workshops, and exchanging publications, books, journals, and research findings.
Additionally, the agreement outlines the creation of a special program for university students, allowing them to present new financial ideas, particularly those related to financial technology, benefiting from them and supporting them to stimulate student capacities. It also includes organizing periodic training lectures for students in disciplines relevant to financial markets.
Under the MoU, the Commission will prepare special educational materials. These materials will include courses related to the capital market to promote financial literacy among university students as part of the effort to raise financial awareness.
