Today, the University of Jordan (UJ) and Sakarya University in Turkey signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance joint academic, research, and cultural cooperation.
The agreement aims to foster collaboration through faculty exchanges, joint scientific seminars, international workshops, research projects, and doctoral student training.
UJ President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, and Sakarya University President, Prof. Hamza Al, signed the agreement in the presence of Vice President Prof. Faleh Sawaer, Center for Strategic Studies Director, Prof Hasan Momani, Director of International Affairs Unit, Dr. Sameh Zubeidi, and the accompanying Delegation from Sakarya University.
Obeidat welcomed this collaboration, highlighting the shared cultural aspects between Jordan and Turkey, offering significant opportunities for cooperation, particularly in research, language education, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
For his part, Sakarya University's president acknowledged the importance of this partnership, noting the university's aim to enhance its status as a research institution and build joint academic programs with UJ.
Both sides also explored collaborating on Arabic and Turkish language education, e-learning, and digital libraries, along with internationally funded research projects, especially under the Erasmus+ program.
The agreement underscores UJ's commitment to international collaboration and providing quality educational and research opportunities for its students and faculty.
