UJ Signs MoU with Indonesian Raden Intan State Islamic University of Lampung

The University of Jordan (UJ), on Tuesday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Raden Intan State Islamic University of Lampung, Indonesia, aimed at building academic and cultural cooperation between the two institutions.

The agreement was signed on behalf of UJ by the Vice President for Scientific Schools, Prof. Ashraf Abu Karaki, and on behalf of Raden Intan University by its President, Prof. Wan Jamaluddin, in the presence of the former Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, Prof. Abdul Nasser Abu Al-Basal, and representatives from both universities.

The MoU aims to foster collaboration in education and research, facilitate student and faculty exchanges, and support joint research projects and training programs that build capacity and promote innovation. It also includes facilitating joint supervision of postgraduate students in master’s and doctoral programs, and cooperation in developing an eco-friendly campus as part of the Green Campus Initiative.

Moreover, the MoU covers collaborative efforts on externally funded research projects, organizing joint cultural events, conferences, seminars, and workshops.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Ziad Hawamdeh; Vice President for Humanities Schools, Prof. Nahed Emaish; Vice President for Quality & Local Accreditation, Prof. Amira Taher Masri; Dean of the School of Sharia, Prof. Abdul Rahman Alkilani; and Director of the International Affairs Unit, Prof. Sameh Alzubiedi.
