The University of Jordan (UJ) President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, today received in his office Head of the Malaysian Cultural Attaché in Amman, Dr. Radwan Abdul-Rasheed, and the Cultural Attaché at the embassy, Muhammad Hanifa bin Ali, in a meeting aimed at exploring ways to enhance mutual academic and cultural cooperation.
During the meeting, Obeidat emphasized the importance of strengthening international academic partnerships between both sides, highlighting the prestigious status of the University of Jordan at both regional and global levels and the diverse academic programs it offers, which have gained international accreditations, attracting students from all over the world. He also welcomed the admission of more Malaysian students to the university.
For his part, Abdul Rashid praised the academic reputation of the University and the exceptional educational opportunities it offers Malaysian students, particularly in the fields of Arabic language studies and Islamic law, affirming his country's keenness to enhance bilateral relations in all academic fields.
At the end of the meeting, which was attended by the Director of International Program, Alumni and Marketing Unit, Prof. Zaid Obeidat, both sides agreed to continue coordinating and developing cooperation mechanisms that would attract more Malaysian students to study at the university.
