Under the patronage of the University of Jordan (UJ) President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, and on his behalf the Vice President for Accreditation, Global Rankings, and Sustainability, Prof. Faleh Sawair, the university hosted a friendly football match between UJ and Al-Faisaly Sports Club to welcome new students.
Held at the University Stadium, the match drew a lively crowd as both sides produced fluent attacking football and disciplined defending. Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Safwan Shiyab, attended alongside university officials, representatives of the Student Union, and the Sports Activities Division.
Al-Faisaly won 3–2 after a thrilling, closely contested 90-minute encounter marked by energy, precision, and sportsmanship. Following the final whistle, Sawair presented the trophy to Al-Faisaly, while UJ’s players received commemorative medals in recognition of their spirited performance.
The event underscored UJ’s commitment to student engagement and to building partnerships with national sports institutions through competitive, community-oriented activities.
