UJ Student Delegation Heads to Italy for Training

By Suha Al Subaihi

A delegation from the University of Jordan (UJ), comprising six undergraduate students from the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology specializing in cybersecurity, accompanied by the Chairman of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Mohammad Salem Al-Attoum, on Monday headed to Italy for a practical training program. The initiative is coordinated by the International Affairs Unit.

The training, supported by the Med-Or Foundation, is being held at the Leonardo Cybersecurity Center in Genoa as part of the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between UJ and the Foundation last May.

The students completed an initial online phase of the training, which lasted a week and qualified them for the hands-on phase in Italy, which will span an additional week. During this period, they will train on the latest technologies and modern systems in the field of cybersecurity.

This initiative exemplifies UJ's efforts to strengthen international collaboration with global institutions, aiming to provide students with advanced skills, practical experiences, and opportunities that enhance their academic and professional distinction while enriching their personal development.
