Thirty Nine UJ Scholars among Top 2% of Most Cited Scientists

Thirty nine scholars from the University of Jordan (UJ) have been ranked among the top 2% of the world's most cited scientists, reflecting the university's continued academic and research excellence across various scientific fields.

This list is one of the most important tools for assessing researchers' scientific impact. It is based on comprehensive data from the Scopus database and ranks scientists according to a range of indicators, including the number of citations, the h-index, and the C-score index, which evaluates scientific impact regardless of the number of publications, while considering different authorship roles such as first or last author.

The update includes data on both lifetime impact and impact for the past year only (2023). Researchers are included in the list if they are ranked among the top 100,000 based on the C-score index or among the top 2% in their respective subfields.

This achievement highlights UJ's position in the field of scientific research and confirms its commitment to enhancing the role of academic research at both local and global levels.
