​The University of Jordan (UJ) student-athlete Ibrahim Nasr Al-Salaj has won a silver medal in the -73 kg category of the 2023 Asian University Powerlifting Cup that took place at the University of Sharjah in the UAE recently.

The 2023 Asian University Powerlifting Cup was held under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah.

The event saw the participation of forty-eight universities from eleven countries, namely: UAE and Saudi Arabia, And Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Iran, Syria, Pakistan, India and Kyrgyzstan, and Jordan.
