Under the patronage of Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court Yousef Issawi, the School of Nursing at the University of Jordan (UJ) participated in the seventh Medical Day titled “Health in the Golden Age,” held at the Islamic Scientific College Alumni Club in Al-Rasheed District, in cooperation with several supporting partners.
The event offered free clinics, consultations, workshops, and screening stations designed to support older adults and promote healthier aging.
Head of the University-Community Committee at the School of Nursing Dr. Ikhlas Al Jammal emphasized the importance of maintaining regular awareness initiatives that respond to the needs and well-being of older adults.
Faculty members Dr.Nadeen Al-lefdawi, Dr. Heba Al Kanash, and Dr. Duaa Allan took part in the event, alongside nursing students who operated a dedicated awareness station. Students Dana Obada, Ranna Al Zaydi, Nagham Al Nassasrah, Sara Hussein, and Marwa Al Nasr provided guidance on healthy nutrition, physical activity, effective communication with older adults, and Alzheimer’s prevention and care.
