The University of Jordan (UJ), in collaboration with the Research and Development Department at the Royal Hashemite Court, hosted an on-campus event introducing students to the HoverUp Drone Competition, in alignment with the Royal vision to nurture creativity, innovation, and youth empowerment.
Jointly organized by HoverUp, a Jordan-based drone technology company, and the Jordan Esports Federation, the national competition will take place from October 18 to 25, 2025, at the King Hussein Business Park. The initiative invites students from across the Kingdom to take part in a dynamic, technology-driven experience that fuses challenge with imagination.
This forward-looking sporting and technological event reflects the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein to invest in young Jordanians and strengthen their role in shaping the nation’s future. It also embodies the vision of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to inspire youth to explore emerging technologies and channel their talents toward national advancement.
By offering participants a platform that blends creativity and competition, the HoverUp Drone Competition seeks to enhance young people’s skills in drone engineering and technology, fields increasingly vital to building a modern, innovation-led economy.
The HoverUp initiative underscores Jordan’s growing commitment to cultivating a knowledge-based society and reaffirms the unwavering Royal support for Jordanian youth as the true architects of the nation’s tomorrow.
