The University of Jordan (UJ) participated in the International Conference on Sustainable Business and Technology (ICSBT Cairo 2025), hosted by the American University in Cairo and organised in partnership with the EuroMid Academy of Business and Technology. The three-day event, held from September 29 to October 1, brought together academics, researchers, and decision-makers from around the world to exchange insights on higher education, business, and technology, with a focus on innovative responses to economic and institutional challenges.

Dr. Loai Medhat Alnemer and Dr. Ali Rodan from the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology (KASIT) received the Best Paper Award for their joint study, “Beyond Micrographs: Multimodal Learning for Predicting Mechanical Properties of Additively Manufactured Ti6-Al4-V.”
The research was commended for its originality and for advancing machine learning applications in materials engineering.

UJ’s participation also featured Dr. Hala Zaidan from the School of Business, who chaired a panel discussion titled “Reimagining Higher Education and Innovation: Linking Global Impact with Industry and Market Integration.” The session examined how universities can better align education with economic needs, drive digital transformation, and prepare graduates for the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.

The participation underscored UJ’s position as a centre for academic dialogue and innovative research, while also reflecting its active contribution to scientific committees and its ongoing commitment to advancing education and research in step with global developments.
