The School of Sport Sciences at the University of Jordan (UJ) concluded its active and distinguished participation in the Second Honorary Professors Forum, held under the auspices of the university with the engagement of leading international academics and experts in the field of sport sciences.
The final day of the forum featured a dynamic scientific program, beginning with a lecture by Dr. Khaled Trabelsi from Tunisia entitled “Sports Nutrition: Scientific Foundations and Practical Applications – Part II.” The session witnessed wide participation from students enrolled in the Career Readiness Program, alongside faculty members, reflecting the growing interest in applied sports science topics.
In parallel with the forum, the School organized a graduation project evaluation session for undergraduate students, overseen by an international panel of judges composed of professors from Taiwan, France, and Tunisia. This session provided students with a stimulating academic environment and constructive feedback aimed at refining their research projects.
Later in the day, Professor Shih-Hwa Chiou of Taiwan delivered a lecture on emerging findings in fat cell biology and their implications for fat reduction through physical activity. The talk generated insightful discussions and interaction among graduate students and researchers.
Dean of the School, Professor Hasan Alsoud, commended the contributions of the honorary professors and highlighted the pivotal role of the forum in enhancing international academic collaboration. He also extended his gratitude to Dr. Adam Tawfiq Amawi for his dedicated efforts in coordinating the school’s involvement, which contributed significantly to the forum’s success.
The School of Sport Sciences welcomed honorary professors from Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, France, and Tunisia during the forum, held from May 27 to June 2, 2025. Their participation added significant value to the academic and research experiences of both students and faculty.
