School of Medicine Hosts Lecture on Pediatric Infectious Diseases

As part of the University of Jordan’s (UJ) ongoing efforts to enhance international academic collaboration, the School of Medicine continues to engage its honorary professors in a series of scientific activities held in conjunction with the Second Honorary Professors Forum.

In this context, the Department of Paediatrics hosted a scientific lecture by Honorary Professor Walid Abu Hammour, titled “The Rising Incidence of Infectious Diseases in Children: A Case-Based Review.”

Professor Abu Hammour, a distinguished expert in pediatric infectious diseases and Head of the Infectious Diseases Department at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, presented a selection of case studies highlighting emerging trends, diagnostic approaches, and treatment protocols in pediatric infectious disease care.

The session featured active participation from faculty members and pediatric speciality trainees, who engaged in an in-depth discussion with the guest speaker. Professor Abu Hammour addressed a wide range of questions on the causes, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases in children.

The School of Medicine expressed its gratitude to Professor Abu Hammour for his valuable contribution and reaffirmed its commitment to fostering academic excellence and international knowledge exchange in specialised areas of medicine.
