UJ and Bridge International Host Prestigious Universities to Showcase Global Educational Opportunities

​Under the patronage of the University of Jordan (UJ) President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, the International Affairs Unit at the university, in collaboration with Bridge International for Academic Services, organized an orientation session on programs and scholarships offered by top-ranking British, Irish, and Malaysian universities, as well as study abroad fair with the participation of 20 prestigious universities worldwide.

Vice President for International Relations and Partnerships, Vice President for Humanities Schools, Prof. Nahed Emaish, emphasized in her address on behalf of the president that this event marks an important moment in the valuable partnership with Bridge International for Academic Services, which aims to enhance academic exchange services, attract international students to the university, and ensure that UJ graduates wishing to pursue their studies abroad receive the best guidance.

She added that the event provides an opportunity to explore educational opportunities, universities, and academic programs, and connect with prestigious institutions from around the world. She also highlighted the role of these international partnerships in shaping the future of higher education, which is increasingly moving toward globalization amid rising global interconnectedness and modern communication tools.

Founding president and director of Bridge International for Academic Services, Dr. Nidal Al-Qatamin, expressed his pride in Jordan’s cultural and scientific legacy and the prosperity it enjoys today under the Hashemite leadership. He noted that the current era is characterized by high competitiveness, affirming that Bridge International has succeeded since its establishment in sending thousands of students abroad and expanding its academic partnerships to include prestigious institutions in Ireland and Malaysia.

Al-Qatamin also stressed the significance of partnership with the University of Jordan, pointing out the role of bridging between Jordanian and international educational institutions in enhancing cultural exchange and keeping pace with scientific developments across various fields.

Director of the International Affairs Unit, Dr. Sameh Al-Zubaidi, highlighted the role of universities in fostering global understanding between different cultures, noting that the event reflects the university’s strong commitment to developing international cooperation, supporting global academic partnerships, and advancing higher education. Al-Zubaidi also affirmed the university's dedication to enhancing academic mobility and exchange opportunities for students with global universities, which contributes to preparing a generation of young people who are culturally aware and mindful to global challenges, thus establishing sustainable bridges of communication between cultures and peoples.

Representatives from some of the world’s top higher education institutions in Ireland, the UK, and Malaysia are participating in the fair, including the University of Leeds, the University of Bristol, Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, the University of Malaya and University Putra Malaysia, offering academic consultations and information on their outstanding educational opportunities.
