The University of Jordan (UJ) concluded on Saturday the closing ceremony of Play and Innovate 2025, held under the patronage of Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Azmi Mahafzah, and attended by UJ President Prof. Nathir Obeidat. Organized by Dimensions Games Studio in partnership with Endless Access, the three-day event brought together 25 teams from schools and universities.
The conference offered a collaborative space for young developers to showcase emerging talent in game development and new technologies. At the heart of the event was a two-day Game Jam, where participants created full games using the Godot engine. Winners in both age categories received prizes of 300, 200, and 100 Jordanian dinars.
An innovation pitching competition ran alongside the Game Jam, awarding the same prizes to the top three projects. Students from the Education Development in Jordan program also took part, reflecting its success in equipping more than 1,500 learners with practical game-development skills.
The ceremony concluded with project showcases and prize announcements, highlighting UJ’s role in supporting youth-driven creativity and advancing Jordan’s technology sector.
